Education is a key component of our anti-trafficking strategy. We estimate that between 30 to 40 percent of the children in Operation Mercy India Foundation (OMIF)'s schools would have been trafficked in some form or another if they were not attending the schools. By being willing to sponsor the educational costs of an Indian Dalit child, you will not only be impacting the child's life for ever, but also be supporting the Dalit community in its fight for freedom and dignity.

Sponsorship costs £15 per child per month. In the UK the Dalit Education sponsorship programme is managed and administered by our partners Free A Dalit Child on behalf of several organisations including DFN UK. They have been running the sponsorship programme with Operation Mercy India Foundation (OMIF) since 2006 and will handle all of the administration, correspondence and financial details including gift aid reclaim etc. of your sponsorship. They will also answer your questions about the process and what is covered by the sponsorship money.
